Avnet Electronics Marketing rolled out the production-grade ZedBoard. According to the company, it is the industry’s first development kit to offer production silicon of the Xilinx Zynq-7000 All Programmable (AP) SoC. The ZedBoard kit includes the ZedBoard, power supply, USB cable, and pre-configured SD card containing a bootable Linux reference design. The ZedBoard is available now for $395.

The production-grade ZedBoard features over 50 improvements over the original CES – or Commercial temp range, Engineering Sample – grade development kit. New improvements include secure boot, faster SD card boot-up, system clock reset improvements, DDR functional updates, more accurate static power estimates, eliminating single and double bit errors, and a more reliable Ethernet TxDMA.
