MSC and eVision Offers Lattice Development CPLDs and FPGAs Workshops

MSC and eVision Systems will be hosting Lattice FPGA workshops next month. The one-day events will focus on FPGA design with VHDL using MachXO2 devices from Lattice Semiconductor. The workshops are held in German language with English slides. The workshop costs 129€ per person plus VAT. The training includes a MachXO2 Breakout Board and Lattice SW starter kit.

Altera Workshops and Demonstrations at SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2011

Altera will showcase their industrial embedded solutions for energy-efficient and safety-integrated drive systems at SPS/IPC/DRIVES Electric Automation Exhibition and Conference. Altera will show how their Cyclone FPGA devices enable industrial systems like drive systems with a high-performance control loop in floating point. The event will take November 22-24 in Nuremberg, Germany.

Nano-ITX/Spartan-6 FPGA Development Kit SpeedWay Design Workshops

Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas will conduct a series of SpeedWay Design Workshops focusing on the design and development flows for the Nano-ITX/Spartan-6 FPGA Development Kit. The workshops will show engineers how to implement different interface options with the Xilinx Spartan-6 PCI Express (PCIe) card. Designers will learn about the benefits of using an FPGA-based solution for peripheral expansion. The seminars will present a detailed technical overview for each of the reference design components, including Intel Atom E640 processor, the Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA PCIe card, and the Emerson Network Power Nano-ITX motherboard.

Creating FPGA-based Co-Processors for DSPs Using Model Based Design

Avnet Electronics, MathWorks, Texas Instruments (TI), and Xilinx are offering a new series of SpeedWay Design Workshops. The hands-on training sessions will focus on designing co-processing solutions with TI’s DSP + ARM OMAP-L138 processors, Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGAs and MathWorks Simulink Model-Based design tools. Course materials and lab work will be based on the newly released Avnet Spartan-6 FPGA/OMAP-L138 Co-Processing DSP Kit. The workshops will take place next month throughout North America. The three-day workshops are $695 per person.

Embedded Systems Conference Features Actel Workshops

At the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) Boston, Actel will offer demonstrations and workshops about integrating an FPGA, embedded processor and programmable analog into designs. The embedded systems show will take place September 20-23, 2010 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts. The Embedded Systems Conference will also feature a keynote address by Actel’s CEO John East on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 9:30 a.m.

The two-day workshops will take place throughout North America. Engineers attending the workshop will receive a coupon or discount for their choice of either: $400 off an AES-V6DSP-LX240T-G Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA DSP Development Kit or an AES-S6DSP-LX150T-G Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA DSP Development Kit.
