Xilinx introduced their Virtex-7 FPGA VC709 Connectivity Kit. The tool is a 40 Gbps platform that enables designers to accelerate design productivity for high-bandwidth and high-performance applications, such as network interface cards for security, network monitoring, and high frequency trading appliances. The Virtex-7 FPGA VC709 Connectivity Kit is available now for shipping. It is priced at $4,995.
CommAgility introduced the AMC-V7-2C6678 Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) module. The AMC-V7-2C6678 features the latest Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA and two Texas Instruments TMS320C6678 multicore DSPs. It includes Serial RapidIO (SRIO), Gigabit Ethernet and PCI Express. The AMC-V7-2C6678 DSP/FPGA Card is available now. Synopsys introduced the HAPS-70 Series FPGA-based prototyping systems for system-on-chip (SoC) designs. The HAPS-70 FPGA-based prototyping systems are available now in nine model variants. Capacities range from 12 to 144 million ASIC gates. The series consists of the HAPS-70 S12, HAPS-70 S24, HAPS-70 S36, HAPS-70 S48, HAPS-70 S60, HAPS-70 S72, HAPS-70 S96, HAPS-70 S120 and HAPS-70 S144. The S denotes ASIC Gate count support.
Tokyo Electron Device Limited (TED) introduced the TB-7V-2000T-LSI ASIC development test platform. The inrevium TB-7V-2000T-LSI features a Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA. The TB-7V-2000T-LSI makes it possible to perform emulation and prototyping of large SoCs using a single FPGA instead of the multiple chips required in the past. The TB-7V-2000T-LSI ASIC development test platform can be ordered today. The tool will be begin shipping in early December 2012.
PLDA introduced their QuickUDP, which is a 10Gb UDP Hardware stack IP core for FPGA devices. The QuickUDP IP solution is a 100% RTL-designed IP, compliant with the IEEE802.3 specification and supports the ARP, IPv4, ICMP, IGMP, and UDP protocols. The PLDA QuickUDP 10G UDP Hardware Stack IP is available now from PLDA. The PLDA QuickUDP can be integrated into Altera-based and Xilinx-based FPGA designs.

The ACCELIZE XP7V690LP-40G board accelerates real-time network processing and reduces latency. It is ideal for networking and financial applications. The ACCELIZE XP7V690LP-40G FPGA network accelerator card is available now in limited quantities. Full volume production is expected this quarter.
The XpressV7-LP is PLDA’s latest FPGA design kit. The XpressV7-LP features a FPGA-based low-profile PCI Express form factor card with 40Gb of Ethernet connectivity and 8 GBytes of DDR3 SDRAM. The FPGA kit is delivered with PLDA’s PCIe 3.0 IP and optional 10G UDP/TCP stack IP, specifically optimized for the Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA. The PLDA XpressV7-LP FPGA Design Kit will ship in October.
Alpha Data launched the ADM-XRC-7V1 board. It features the Xilinx Virtex-6 and Virtex-7 FPGA devices, 10G transceivers, low power consumption, PCI Express Gen2 interface, 25 GB/s memory, 248 I/O signals, system monitoring, flash boot capabilities, and Software Development Kit. The ADM-XRC-7V1 is ready to integrate right out of the box. The board is available now.
Xilinx have created PCI Express x8 Gen3-based designs. The solution features the Virtex-7 field programmable gate array integrated block. All the elements needed for PCI Express x8 Gen3-based designs are now available, including the Virtex-7 X690T FPGA with an integrated PCI express block, ISE Design Suite 14.1 software tool support, a DMA engine provided by third-party Xilinx Alliance Program members, and a 1866 Mb/s DDR3 external memory interface.
Xilinx has shipped the Virtex-7 H580T FPGA, which is the first 3D heterogeneous all programmable product. The Virtex-7 H580T features eight 28 Gbps transceivers and plenty of logic capacity. The device is the only FPGA that can integrate additional line card functionality so designers can implement a dual 100G OTN transponder on a single chip.
