Lattice Semiconductor is offering a special price on their recently released iCEblink40 Evaluation Kits. The company is offering the iCEblink40-HX1K and iCEblink40-LP1K Evaluation Kits at a promotional price of $19. The special promotional price will expire after October 31, 2012.
Eight devices in the Lattice Semiconductor iCE40 Los Angeles mobileFPGA family have been fully qualified and released into volume production. The low power LP640, LP1K, LP4K and LP8K devices, and the higher performance HX640, HX1K, HX4K and HX8K devices have been production released with 17 different device/package combinations.
Lattice Semiconductor will acquire SiliconBlue Technologies for about $62 million in cash. According to Lattice, the acquisition of SiliconBlue is aligned with their strategic long range plan and will help accelerate their growth strategy in the mobile consumer market. Silicon Blue will further strengthen Lattice’s product roadmap by adding a scalable, low cost, low power nonvolatile memory FPGA, along with key personnel and blue chip customers.
SiliconBlue Technologies is offering their iCE65 mobileFPGA in two new device packages (iCE65L01F-TCB81 and iCE65P04F-TCB121). The new FPGA devices and SiliconBlue’s wafer-level chip scale packages are ideal for implementing a number of features including gyros, accelerometers, and dual displays. The iCE65L01F-TCB81 and the iCE65P04F-TCB121 FPGA devices are available now in volume production.
The iCE65L01 mobileFPGA device, from SiliconBlue Technologies, is now available in a CS36 package. The entire iCE65L01 product line, consisting of the CB132, QN84, VQ100, and now the CS36 device, is production qualified and shipping in volume today. Unit price for the iCE65L01 FPGA in the CS36 device is $0.95 for 1 million unit annual volume production consumption.
SiliconBlue will distribute a version of the Synopsys Synplify Pro FPGA synthesis software with their iCEcube software. The included version of the Synplify ProFPGA synthesis software is optimized for iCE65 family of mobileFPGA devices.
SiliconBlue Technologies introduced the iCE65L01 mobileFPGA device. The iCE65L01 mobileFPGA device offers the benefits of programmability and time-to-market to handheld, mobile product designers. The ASIC-like cost, high logic capacity, ultra-low power, and advanced-package technology of the iCE65 devices provides the scalability required for designers to implement features that differentiate their products. The iCE65L01 features 1,280 logic cells and up to 93 user I/O pins.
