The Ariane Controls AC-CPM1 AutoGrade J2931 is an evaluation and development board optimized for inband signaling between Plug-In Electric Vehicles (PEV) and the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). The AC-CPM1 SAE J2931 evaluation and development board uses Microsemi’s ProASIC3 flash FPGA devices to speed design cycles for systems implementing automotive standard J2931 for communication. Lattice Semiconductor introduced the LatticeECP3 AMC evaluation platform for their Serial RapidIO 2.1 endpoint IP core. The LatticeECP3 AMC evaluation platform helps engineers to investigate and experiment with the features of the LatticeECP3 SERDES and SRIO core. The board features a single AMC module card edge interface, common options interface, and a Vita 57.1 FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) expansion connector. The evaluation and demonstration platform is based on the Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) form factor. The Serial RapidIO 2.1 IP core and AMC platform are available now.
Actel introduced development tools for the SmartFusion intelligent mixed signal FPGAs. The development environment includes the Libero Integrated Design Environment (IDE) v9.0 with Synplify Pro and Identify from Synopsys, ModelSim from Mentor Graphics, and SoftConsole v3.1, Keil and IAR Systems software IDEs, plus access to leading RTOS and middleware from Micrium. The SmartFusion Evaluation Kit is available now for $99. The SmartFusion Development Kit is available now for $999.
Tokyo Electron Device (TED) introduced the inrevium TB-6V-LX240T, LX365T, LX550T, and SX475T-PCIEXP series FPGA evaluation platforms. The FPGA evaluation platform features either Virtex-6 LXT or Virtex-6 SXT FPGA devices, 8-lane PCI Express Gen 2 interface, and 2-channel 1066 Mbps DDR3 SDRAM SO-DIMM high-speed memory interfaces. The inrevium TB-6V-LX240T, LX365T, LX550T, and SX475T-PCIEXP series will be available in mid-March 2010. The inrevium TB-6V- LX240T, LX365T, LX550T, and SX475T-PCIEXP are ideal for the development of high-performance graphics engines for next-generation televisions and multi-function printers, or for the high-speed arithmetic processing found in high-performance computing applications.
Lattice Semiconductor introduced an evaluation board for the ispClock 5400D programmable clock device. The evaluation board is an easy-to-use platform for evaluating and designing with the ispClock5400D differential clock distribution device. The evaluation board can be used by itself to review the performance and in-system programmability of the 5400D device, or as a companion board and clock source for LatticeECP3 FPGA Serial Protocol or Video Protocol evaluation boards. The ispClock5400D evaluation board is priced at $169.
Eutecus unveiled version 2.2 of their Multi-core Video Analytics Engine (MVE) Evaluation Kit. The MVE kit embeds the entire video analytics event detection application on a single low-cost Xilinx Spartan 3A DSP FPGA. The MVE Evaluation Kit 2.2 supports HD and composite TV (NTSC or PAL) input for both live and pre-recorded video. The system comes bundled with an assortment of different pre-configured videos allowing users to test MVE’s video analytic capability in various indoor and outdoor scenarios, at different resolutions.
