ACCELIZE launched their XP7V690LP-40G low-profile FPGA computing card. The ACCELIZE XP7V690LP-40G features quad-10Gb Ethernet (40GbE) and PCI Express 3.0 with Gen3 speed. The ACCELIZE XP7V690LP-40G board accelerates real-time network processing and reduces latency. It is ideal for networking and financial applications. The ACCELIZE XP7V690LP-40G FPGA network accelerator card is available now in limited quantities. Full volume production is expected this quarter.
The XpressV7-LP is PLDA’s latest FPGA design kit. The XpressV7-LP features a FPGA-based low-profile PCI Express form factor card with 40Gb of Ethernet connectivity and 8 GBytes of DDR3 SDRAM. The FPGA kit is delivered with PLDA’s PCIe 3.0 IP and optional 10G UDP/TCP stack IP, specifically optimized for the Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA. The PLDA XpressV7-LP FPGA Design Kit will ship in October.
Altera announced the production availability of their 40-Gbps Ethernet and 100-Gbps Ethernet intellectual property cores. The cores can be used to create high-performance, low-cost, subsystem IP in Stratix IV and Stratix V FPGAs. Altera’s 40GbE and 100GbE IP cores are compatible with the recently announced Quartus II software v12.0. They are available for download on the Altera website.
Lattice Semiconductor recently introduced their Sercos III real-time Ethernet solution. The Sercos III solution features the Lattice FPGA device. It is a low cost, low power FPGA-based alternative for engineers who need to implement flexible industrial networking solutions. Sercos is a digital bus that interconnects motion controls, drives, I/O, sensors and actuators for numerically controlled machines and systems. It is designed for the high-speed serial communication of standardized closed-loop real-time data over Industrial Ethernet.
Xilinx has acquired Sarance Technologies. The acquisition will help Xilinx increase and accelerate the displacement of ASSPs and ASICs in many 40G/100G and beyond programs. Sarance Technologies is a supplier of ASIC and FPGA IP cores for packet processing. The cores include Interlaken IP, classification and traffic management IP.
Xilinx announced the Spartan-6 FPGA Industrial Ethernet Kit. The Targeted Design Platform is optimized for industrial automation system design with low-cost, low-power Xilinx Spartan-6 field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). The Xilinx Industrial Automation Targeted Design Platform accelerates development of real-time Ethernet networks. The Spartan-6 FPGA Industrial Ethernet Kit is available now from Avnet in limited quantities with general availability in April 2010. The kit is priced at $1,895 (US).
Altera it will showcase their solutions for 40G and 100G systems at SUPERCOMM 2009. Attendees will see how Altera’s 40G and 100G solutions are driving the development of next-generation applications such as OTU-3, OTU-4, 40G and 100G Ethernet, Interlaken, mobile backhaul and Next-Generation PON (NGPON). Altera’s 40G and 100G solutions include its 40-nm Stratix IV FPGAs, featuring integrated transceivers operating up to 11.3 Gbps, intellectual property (IP), reference designs and development boards.
