Analog Devices JESD204B Xilinx Transceiver Debug Tool

Analog Devices recently launched the JESD204B Xilinx Transceiver Debug Tool. The FPGA-based reference design with software and HDL code reduces the design risk of high-speed systems incorporating JESD204B-compatible converters. It supports the 312.5-Mbps to 12.5-Gbps JESD204B data converter-to-FPGA serial data interface and Xilinx Inc., 7 series FPGAs and Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoCs.

Xilinx JESD204 LogiCORE IP Achieves Interoperability with ADI AD9250

Xilinx and Analog Devices have achieved JESD204B interoperability between Xilinx JESD204 LogiCORE IP in the Kintex-7 FPGA and the ADI AD9250 analog-to-digital high-speed data converter. The results confirm that off-the-shelf ADI JESD204B data converters and Xilinx FPGAs work together seamlessly. The interoperability means manufacturers can take advantage of JESD204B to accelerate time-to-market for their new products by shortening development time, reducing system test effort, and minimizing development issues.

Analog Devices introduced the AD9250-FMC-250EBZ kit for FPGA development. The FPGA mezzanine cards (FMC) features JEDEC JESD204B SerDes (serializer/de-serializer) technology. The AD9250-FMC-250EBZ kit helps digital and analog designers simplify and rapidly prototype high-speed JESD204B A/D converter-to-FPGA platforms. AD9250-FMC-250EBZ will be available on April 9, 2013. It is priced at $565.

Analog Devices announced the FMC176 quad channel ADC and dual channel DAC FPGA mezzanine card. The FMC176 features JEDEC JESD204B serializer/de-serializer (SerDes) technology. It enables digital and analog designers to simplify high-speed data converter-to-FPGA connectivity. The ADI FMC features two AD9250, dual-channel, 14-bit, 250-MSPS A/D converters with JESD204B-compatible serial output data interface and two AD9129 dual 16-bit 5.6-GSPS RF D/A converters. It is available now for $2995.

Analog Devices announced their AD9250 dual-channel, 14-bit, 250 MSPS, A/D converter. It supports the JEDEC JESD204B serial output data interface standard. The ADI AD9250 device features a simplified interface that is ideal for next-generation FPGA-based applications in software-defined radio and medical ultrasound. The 250 MSPS AD9250-250 is available now for $131.57. A 170 MSPS pin-compatible version (AD9250-170) is available for $72.49.

ADI AD9739A D/A, AD9467 A/D Boards Support Xilinx FPGA Targeted Design Platforms

Analog Devices unveiled the AD9739A D/A converter and AD9467 A/D converter FMC boards. The two data converter FPGA mezzanine cards can connect to Xilinx’s new 28nm 7 series field programmable gate array evaluation kits. The Analog Devices FMC boards support multiple generations of Xilinx kits (including the new Kintex-7 FPGA evaluation kits). The ADI FMC boards include all of the HDL (hardware description language) code and device drivers needed for designers to engage in rapid prototyping and reduce development time and risk.

Six New FPGA-based NI FlexRIO Adapter Modules

National Instruments announced six new adapter modules for their NI FlexRIO family. The modules feature FPGA-based reconfigurable I/O for general-purpose automated test and high-speed digital communication. The new FlexRIO adapter modules include four general-purpose digitizers, a module for high-speed digital I/O and a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices (ADI) that is optimized for modulated communications.
