Xilinx Ships Virtex-7 H580T Heterogeneous 3D FPGA

Xilinx Virtex-7 H580T FPGA - stacked silicon interconnect (SSI) technology and 28 Gbps transceivers on silicon separate from the core FPGA fabric

Xilinx has shipped the Virtex-7 H580T FPGA, which is the first 3D heterogeneous all programmable product. The Virtex-7 H580T features eight 28 Gbps transceivers and plenty of logic capacity. The device is the only FPGA that can integrate additional line card functionality so designers can implement a dual 100G OTN transponder on a single chip.

Xilinx Targets 3D and 4K2K Displays with Reference Designs and ACDC Baseboard

Xilinx introduced reference designs and a development baseboard for speeding the development of next-generation, 3D and 4K2K display technologies. The 4K2K Mosaic and HDTV-to-4K2K up-converter targeted reference designs are based on the new 28nm Kintex-7 Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The new ACDC (Acquisition, Contribution, Distribution and Consumption) 1.0 Baseboard also uses Kintex-7 FPGA devices. The targeted reference designs and ACDC 1.0 Baseboard with the Kintex-7 FPGA will be available in Q2 2012.

Xilinx to Present at Semicon West 2011

Xilinx will be taking part in the SEMI/Gartner Market Symposium and 3D in the Deep Submicron Era TechXPOT session at Semicon West 2011. Xilinx will discuss supply chain best practices in the race to 28nm and below, and share an industry perspective on opportunities and challenges for 3D IC design. Semicon West is an annual event for the global microelectronics industry. The conference will take place July 12-14, 2011 in San Francisco, California.
