ProDesign recently launched CHIPit Platinum V5. The new CHIPit Platinum features an enhanced system architecture based on largest Xilinx Virtex-5 LX330 FPGAs, improved debugging features, and completely new software for easier design implementation.

The Platinum Edition V5 handles complex ASIC and SoC Designs up to 28 M ASIC gates and is aimed at customers who need a flexible high-speed verification solution to shorten the time to market by eliminating costly respins and by providing early prototypes for software development or end customers.

The CHIPit Platinum Edition V5 is the first ASIC prototyping system that can handle up to 21 Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGAs with a flexible programmable connection topology for a large number of different configurations. The combination of this unique system architecture and the complete new CHIPit Manager Software 4.0 for design implementation and system configuration makes this the most comfortable and easy to use ASIC Prototyping system on the market.

Among the many new debugging features in CHIPit Manager 4.0 software is a software tool that helps spread a design over many FPGAs. The tool allows a designer to review the hardware opportunities, including the available platform clock resources, the virtual location of the FPGA within the system and other important factors.
