Posted by Ken Cheung in Event on Wednesday, March 26, 2008

John East, president and CEO for Actel Corporation, will present “The Power to Change” at the Globalpress Electronics Summit, being held March 31 – April 3, 2008 in San Francisco. The presentation will send a call to action to the electronics industry to acknowledge their role in helping to resolve the world’s global warming issues and mitigate the harmful effects of added power consumption in electronic devices. East will present alternatives to electricity generation, discuss the various sources of power in semiconductor devices, and explore how low-power field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology can be used to help dramatically lower power consumption.

The Globalpress Electronics Summit provides a venue for leading technology companies and innovative start-ups to showcase their news and views on the future of electronics, design tools, and new applications to the world’s top 50-plus electronics journalists.
