O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ:OIIM) (SEHK:0457) was issued 17 claims under Great Britain (GB) patent number 2,425,627 for its Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) IC upgrade system in VPN Firewall solutions. Security boards for O2Micro’s VPN Firewall products, such as SifoWorks(TM), are built with an ASIC IC, providing a patented, robust and economic solution for upgrades. System upgrades address customer requests, such as the addition of new features. SifoWorks(TM) technology allows O2Micro to dynamically meet requirements and add features for different regions, addressing their specific network security concerns and economically customizing their needs on the same system platform.
