Xilinx will be at Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona, Spain from February 16 – 19, 2009. Xilinx will unveil its next-generation programmable Long Term Evolution (LTE) targeted design platforms aimed at accelerating wireless infrastructure innovation. Xilinx will also showcase their portfolio of flexible hardware solutions and LTE IP used in the development of baseband and multimode radio subsystems for 3G and 4G mobile basestations.
Single-chip Digital Front End (DFE) radio subsystem containing all signal processing and connectivity components with support for all major air interfaces. Highlights IP solutions optimized for configurable multi-carrier Digital Up Conversion (DUC), Digital Down Conversion (DDC), Crest Factor Reduction (CFR), and Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) with Freescale Power Amplifier devices. Demonstration features Stealth Microwave UMTS Power Amplifier, Xilinx/AXIS CDRSX2 radio development board, and third-party test equipment supplied by Agilent
LTE Baseband Platform
Complete baseband processing subsystem with both uplink and downlink using pre-optimized IP and software solutions to accelerate development. Highlights new baseband architecture that significantly reduces system cost and power consumption. Demonstration features Xilinx LTE Baseband targeted design platform coupled with new LTE 3GPP eNodeB reference platform developed and validated by industry-leading LTE vendors.
