Avnet EXP FPGA Development Modules

Posted by Ken Cheung in Tool on Tuesday, September 25, 2007

Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas (a part of Avnet, Inc. - NYSE: AVT) released three new EXP expansion modules for EXP-enabled FPGA development boards. The three EXP modules were developed exclusively to meet the unique requirements of FPGA development boards. EXP adds versatility to designs by enabling expansion interface with FPGA baseboards – including the ability to add application-specific daughter cards that can easily connect to the FPGA I/Os.

Avnet's design chain experts developed the EXP specification to help speed our customers' time to market. EXP-enabled boards allow designers to add functions from a growing list of off-the-shelf EXP modules, or focus efforts on building add-on modules that leverage existing baseboard functions.

The three new EXP boards are:

  • The EXP Video Module
  • The Analog Devices EXP Adapter Module
  • The Interface EXP Module
