Xilinx to Discuss and Demonstrate Smarter Solutions for Wireless Networks

At the Linley Tech Carrier Conference, Xilinx will present smarter solutions for wireless networks. Engineers at the show will have the opportunity to learn how Xilinx’s smarter All Programmable solutions are helping designers overcome Hetereogenous Mobile Network challenges as well as see a live demonstration of Xilinx’s wireless radio solution platform. Linley Carrier Conference 2013 will take place June 12-13, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Santa Clara, California.

Mobile HetNet Architecture and the Value of All Programmable Solutions Presentation

Xilinx senior director of wireless communications, Sunil Kar, will highlight system architectural implementation challenges in hardware platforms that constitute Heterogeneous Mobile Networks (HetNet). These evolving HetNet architectures require multi-carrier, multi-mode, multi-band, multi standards, and multiple form factor support, driving the need for smarter All Programmable solutions. It’s necessary to have multilevel processing architecture that is scalable, programmable, and provides high levels of silicon integration. Sunil will discuss Heterogeneous System Integration and Heterogeneous Programmable Silicon Integration for tomorrow’s HetNet architectures and provide some architectural options available with Xilinx’s Smarter Wireless Network portfolio.

Xilinx Wireless Radio Solution Platform Demonstration

Xilinx will showcase a leading edge radio IP (CFR/DPD) and 7 series FPGA evaluation platform for comprehensive best-in-class radio solutions. This demonstration features a single-chip digital radio solution for low cost, low power and high reliability. This multimode capable solution scales from small cell to macro cell while minimizing development risk and reduced time-to-market.

The Linley Tech Carrier Conference is a two-day, single-track show that will focus on system design for wired and wireless infrastructure including Carrier Ethernet, optical transport, broadband infrastructure, and wireless base stations. The conference is intended for system designers, network-equipment vendors, OEMs, network service providers, carriers, press, and the financial community.
