Introduction to Serial IO Workshops
The full day “Introduction to Serial IO” workshops introduce the GTP RocketIO transceiver available in the new Virtex 5 LXT family of Platform FPGAs. 8GT/s PCI Express 3.0
PCI-SIG(R), the Special Interest Group responsible for the PCI Express(R) industry-standard I/O interconnect technology, approved 8GT/s as the bit rate for the next generation of PCIe(R) architecture, PCIe 3.0. This represents the second speed increase since the initial launch of this I/O interconnect standard in 2003.

SNOWBUSH microelectronics’ 6-bit, 2.5 GSPS ADC IP core is ideal for the most demanding data-conversion applications. SEMI August 2007 Book-to-Bill Ratio
According to Semi, the North American manufacturers of semiconductor equipment posted $1.39 billion in orders in August 2007 (three-month average basis) and a book-to-bill ratio of 0.83. A book-to-bill of 0.83 means that $83 worth of orders were received for every $100 of product billed for the month.
